Samsung SCH-U900 Review - A Review of the Samsung SCH-U900 Cellular Phone

Samsung recently released the Verizon Wireless SCH-U900 cell phone - also known as the "FlipShot". This cell phone gets its name from the twisting and turning flap, which permits avid picture-snappers to attain the best possible shot from its optical zoom lens.

With the Samsung SCH-U900 Flipshot's superior 3-megapixel digital camera and camcorder, Samsung continues to develop products that are both stylish yet loaded with the latest technology.

The sleek 1.83" X 3.67" Flipshot features a 2K2 color QVGA display that can be rotated any way you choose for optimal picture and video viewing, and with its camera lens on the other side, optimal lighting and camera angles can be manipulated for the perfect shot in any setting.

Further, with its strong focus on photographical technology, the FlipShot also features a business card scanner and TV-out function. The Flipshot features streaming stereo Bluetooth, VCAST TV and MP3 media player, GPS based VZ Navigator application, advanced voice dialing, and speech-to-text dictation. While the phone supports Bluetooth wireless headphones, it also boasts a port for traditional wired headphones (although a 3.5mm adaptor must be purchased separately).

The Flipshot's standard 850mAh battery is rated for three hours of talk time or 250 hours of standby time; however, an extended battery can be purchased that promises to increase talk time by 50 percent. Also, the cell phone's SIM card external memory allows the storage of up to 250 additional names and phone numbers.

The Samsung SCH-U900 Flipshot can be found in its standard black color or red from Verizon Wireless or Best Buy. The phone is available at a cost of US$199.99 when purchased with a new two-year service agreement.
